Toyota has manufactured and sold more than 15 million Camry models since its introduction in 1983 and it is expecting good number of sales this year with the introduction of redesigned all new 2012 Camry.
Simplified Model Line-Up
All-new Camry will offer 4 different model grades to choose from; it will be offered in entry-level L, mid-level LE, finest XLE, and sporty SE, while the hybrid version will be offered in LE, and XLE trims.

All models would come equipped with an impressive list of standard and optional features, including tilt /telescopic steering wheel, Bluetooth hands-free capability, new display audio system featuring 6.1-in touch screen, and many more.
Physical Dimensions
The latest-generation sedan has overall length, height, width, and wheelbase same as 2011 edition, resulting in a familiar profile.
Fresh Styling Cues
Designers and engineer have sculpted the sedan in entirely new sheet-metal from top to bottom.
A new front bumper with a protrude chin and lower air intake is enclosed by chrome fog-light alcoves on all trims except SE, which comes with a more stylish front fascia.
With honeycomb grille insert, 3 front air inlets, set of faux canards, and subtle chrome accenting, the sporty SE manages to keep one step ahead than other models.
Designers have worked hard to make all-new sedan as slippery as possible, bringing aerodynamic technology. All versions are built with squared-off aero corners both at rear and front in a fashion that’s quite similar to new Prius.
The L, LE, and XLE trims are equipped with a chrome accent, while SE wears a monochrome accent across the span along with trunk-lid lip spoiler, and more aggressive dual chrome exhaust tips.
Its cabin has got more open appearance, thanks to the A-B-pillar caps, door control panels, and center console.
The shape of the front seats has been reworked to give a little more knee room. The ordinary swaths plastic of 2011 model have changed to a nicely cloaked upper dash shaped from soft-touch plastic.
More Power and Enhanced Gas Mileage
2012 Toyota Camry is equipped with a revised 2.5-L 4-cylinder engine with VVT-i that features reduced vibration and noise levels. It delivers 178 hp (9 pony more than 2011 edition), and 170 pound-feet of torque, mated to 6-speed automatic gearshift.

The fuel economy ratings are also improved, achieving 25 mpg in city, 35 mpg on hwy (28 mpg combined). However, 2012 Camry hybrid is rumored to achieve 40+MPG, though we still haven’t been able to test, and verify the same!
If you’re looking for more pep, look at SE and XLE featuring DOHC 24-valve 3.5-L V6 with dual VVT-i that produces 268 hp and torsion of about 248 lb-ft, paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with sequential shift.
The EPA-fuel economy ratings of V6 equipped models are 21/30/25 mpg.
